Slow Startup
Hello,

I recently repalced the two hard drives in my laptop with two new 7200RPM hard drives. To reinstall Windows Vista x64, I used the HP recovery DVDs. Now, everytime I start up the computer, it hangs for about five minutes after I enter my password. After it loads the desktop, the laptop runs normally. I would like to know how to make the laptop load the desktop faster after logging in.

Thanks in advance,

Edwin Suarez

Because you have used the Recovery CD
Could you just create a new user from user accounts (administrator account)
Then logoff and logon to that new user
See if that is as slow to logon

If not, you could just use that account
We can talk about rermoving the old one later
