Con't get online
Hi

I recently got wireless broadband in at home - Every thing worked fine - I have a linkys router - My Desktop and Laptop work fine but I bought a new laptop with vista and can't seem to get it online - It connects fine it seems to the network but my browser keeps coming up a blank?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

When you hover over, or click on, the internet icon in the Notification area does it say that you are connected to your wireless network and have local and internet access?

Exactly what does "browser keeps coming up a blank" mean?

Yep I'm conected alright - When i say it won't connect to the internet i mean the browser gives me a blank page as if I'm NOT connected - Im sure its to do with IP address ect ?

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following commands:

nbtstat -n

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Can you try and use a CAT5 cable and plug into the router and see if you have the same problem using a cabel?
