Hi all, first post and to me it's a doozy!!

I am running Vista Home Premium with SP1 RC. I have been experiencing problems with the taskeng.exe running a heck of a lot. When the computer starts only 2 or 3 will run, but after a while more and more pop up. Leaving the computer on for 24 hours and checking task manager after that time shows over 700 of the damn things running!

Since SP1 RC is still a BETA version, I would uninstall it first.

By the way, you WILL have to Uninstall SP1 RC before the production Version can be installed.

I've uninstalled it to see if the problem was occuring before upgrading to SP1RC and I'm glad to say it's stopped.

I have passed the info on to Vista SP1 Support to have a look at - I'm sure they dont want a bug like that appearing in an SP.
