There was an image saved as a .GIF on my desktop when I double clicked it to view it I got this error..
Same thing happened for no reason out of no where.. HELP.

Or is the GIF on your desktop actually a shortcut? Corporate firewall seems to be blocking images so i can't see your error, but the Zune link implies it's a 'disk not found' error in which case your GIF might be a shortcut pointing to an empty drive, e.g. your CD drive.

I am pretty certain that calvin-c is right - you probably dragged from a disk and thought you were copying the gif but instead set a link/shortcut to it. If you put that disk back in the same drive, it will probably work.
You can right-click on the item and look at the properties - I would guess it says it is a shortcut and where it is linked to.

hmm all I remember is saving a GIF format from my photoshop to my desktop.. o_0

I don't use Photoshop but I remember an earlier version of Word (IIRC) that set the default folder for opening files to whatever folder the last file was saved in. When the last file was saved to floppy we got a 'no disk' error before the 'open file' dialog came up.

What happens when you open Photoshop first, then use its File Open menu to open the GIF? Do you have another program you can open it in?

Another question. Are you getting this error for all GIF's you're trying to open? Or is it just this one. If the latter, then it most certainly is a faulty shortcut, lost file or corrupted file. In this case, if there is no way of retrieving a copy of the image from a different source then I guess you'll just have to say good bye
