Solved: screen shifted?
I'm having a problem using the 1440x900 resolution.
I have a laptop that is running Vista Home Premium and is connected to a 19" monitor almost 24/7.
It's been working just fine at 1440x900 for several months, but today it started acting up.
Below are two screenshots. The first is what it should look like and the second is what my screen looks like everytime I try going to 1440x900. Notice how it looks like everything has been shifted to the left leaving a black space on the right side of the screen.

It's done this once before but I corrected it by chaning the resolution to the lowest setting and then changing it to the next highest resolution until I got back to 1440x900, but that's not working now. I've tried restarting with and without the monitor connected but beyond that I don't know what to do....
Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Try changing the monitor refresh to another value (default is 60Hz) such as 70 or 75Hz and see if that makes a difference.

Your LCD should have a button on it that says adjust.
Press it.

as leroys1000 says, find the auto-adjust button on your screen and press it.
