Unexpected Shutdown Help Hello, don't know if anyone can help me. I am on a HP Pavilion Laptop running Windows Vista. I first encountered the error while running World of Warcraft. I log in, and after a few seconds the whole computer freezes up (no alt tabbing, unable to do anything). Then the screen screws up and nothing coherent is visible. Pretty much it looks like the old Static channels on non-digital TV's. The system then reboots and I get this error:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 116
BCP1: 85558230
BCP2: 8B6DDEB0
BCP3: 00000000
BCP4: 00000002
OS Version: 6_0_6000
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
After rebooting a few times, the computer would then restart and receive a blue screen error before running any application, yielding in the same error upon restart. The blue screen did mention something about Display adapter, but I was unable to read more than that before restart.
With those things in consideration, my first thought is that it is my video card. However when I run any applications there is no lag, no screen tearing, and my computer is actually running very smoothly, until it crashes. I have updated all my drivers, ran Nortons, Windows Defender, and Spybot. I am stumped now.
Do you believe it is a virus? If so any suggestions?
Do you believe it is software complications? Any suggestions?
Do you believe it is a Hardware problem? If so is there any way to replace a video card in a laptop?
Any help, even if it is just information on the problem would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
