Solved: Task Manager Problem
I'm running Vista Ultimate and for some reason, Task Manager no longer comes up when I hi ctrl+alt+del. I also tried to get there through right click on the task bar, but still no Task Manager. Any suggestions?

Hello brian_oates33

I have the same issue at the moment. It may have been caused by the latest updates to Vista. I say may have been. It could also be caused by malware/spyawre.

I came across this task-manager-enable-disable.

I haven't tried this yet (at work). It may be of some help.

Managed to re-enable Task Manager through Local Group Policy Editor as stated in tutorial. I notice the thread is marked solved so I assume it worked for you too.

Just for future reference, this little program gives you quick access to many of those registry settings that you can control through policy, and for those with Home Edition, serves as a substitute for the Group Policy console that is missing:

XP Security Console
Infiltration Recovery Tool
