Please help: unusual coloured text in Windows Vista HP
Hi folks,

I recently acquired a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium on it. I have recently noticed something quite unusual- on certain websites (most noticeably ones which feature black text on white background), there appears to be unusual pink/purple shading around some of the characters. In actual fact, this occurs on my computer when visiting this very site (when looking at the list of threads in the Windows Vista section of the forum, for example).

I am wondering if anybody else has noticed this, and whether this is 'normal' for Windows Vista? If not, any suggestions as to what the problem might be, or how I could resolve it. I have so far emailed both the manufacturer (Benq) and Microsoft, neither of whom could offer any insight into the problem. Benq's response was: "If this is showing only on certain websites, then it is not a fault with Vista or VGA card of the joybook. You can try reinstalling the VGA driver from the driver disc provided with the joybook". (I should hasten to add that I do not have the faintest idea what this means).

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
