Have your read http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vi...n2k-after.html ?

Have you uninstalled XP?

Did you receive a system recovery DVD from HP? Did you make a system recovery DVD, if that option was available to you?

You need a utility to repair the mbr. VistaBootPro will do it.

You will need to read the information at VistaBootPro.

For example,

Source:
http://www.pronetworks.org/forum/about70962.html

According to http://www.pronetworks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=88231, you need, with Vista installed, install XP, then install VistaBootPro.
