Microphone problem
As well as many gamers I use Ventrilo (a vOIP client), however after I have purchased my new CyberPowerPC Desktop (Vista), I have to unplug and replug my microphone everytime I reboot my computer. This gets very irratating, due to the fact that I must drag my computer out of my desk, unplug, and replug the microphone every time I reboot (which I do 2-4 times a day).

is there a fix to this?

Get a stereo cable with a male end and a female end to extend your microphone port to in front of your computer on top of your desk.

Are you sure its the back ports thats the problem? If so, any other way than using the front panel?

What are you using for an audio driver?

I don't know about yours but on my Vista computer, if I reboot or something like that, I have to open the driver software in control panel and click on the microphone jack for it to recognie the device. It's not much of a fix but it's better than pulling your computer out every time.

Nope, I'm using Sigma Tel Audio. Is there an option in your control panel to refresh plugged in audio devices?
