Unhappy Media Center prevented from opening due to software restriction policy?!
My Media Center (on Vista Home Premium) used to work just fine, up until about a week ago, when I moved from UK to Bosnia. When I tried to use it this time, the green Media Centre logo had vanished. Microsoft recommended setting a new shortcut to ehshell.exe which I did, but it is now saying Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. For more information, open Event Viewer or contact your system administrator.

I have not changed any of my policies, and when I looked at the Event Log I had something like 160 events for MC Update over the last couple of months. I checked the policies anyway, and none of the Media Center ones are set to Disabled.

I was previously connected wirelessly to my home network in UK on an Orange Livebox, and had set my laptop to be able to share media with my home PC, which it did just fine. I did not change any of the settings upon coming here, and am now connected via wired router to the local network.

On a similar note, my Windows Media Player will no longer go into 'Mini Player' mode on the toolbar, and the option that would normally allow me to tick or untick the toolbar is gone. I'm not sure if this is related.

I can provide more info if needed. If anyone has any ideas at all I would be grateful.
