Reinstalling Vista
Hi I need to reinstall vista as several things have stopped working and i can't install windows updates anymore. I have tried repairing it but it didn't work.

All my documents and important stuff is elsewhere so i don't need to worry about that, but is there a way to avoid having to make a list of all the stuff i have installed and all the settings and re-installing it all?

I'm in the same situation as you, so i would like to know the answer, particularly the other programmes i loaded, do i lose them if i reset? also things like e mails, do i lose them? and my favorites. sorry to hijack your problem but it sounds like we have similar problems. if you have reset, let me know how it went. if i find an answer before, i will let you know
