BSOD - i thought i had this sorted!!!
hi,
ok i thought i has this sorted but its come back, this time with a diffrent error

i keep getting a BSOD in windows vista. ive checked the RAM, HDD, Processoer, and reinstalled vista! but still iget the damn screen - so im thinking its a software issue.
However the only software i have installed (recently) is GTA (always worked before the reinstall), Kaspersky Internet security, and drivers for a usb tv stick.

now ive used the tv stick (3times) with no errors, and ive tried starting the computer with kaspersky not on - still errors! im getting sick of this.

So iwas wondering 2 things (a) does anyone know of an issue where kaspersky causes vista to shudown/BSOD?
(b) does anyone know what the smeg this means: (this is an error in event viewer)
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_no ne_0c178a139ee2a7ed\MFC80U.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a 1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

ive tied running sxstrace (in a cmd window) but i cant understand it for the life of me.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated, and thanks
Marvin (ps why oh why does this happen during coursework times!!!)

Does this mean that its "avp.exe" (Kaspersky) that caused the crash?
