Animation of Gifs & Applets not working w Vista
I have Vista. I can receive gifs and applets via email, etc., but when I save them and want to use them in a project or send them in an email, the animation no longer works. I've tried saving them in both "pictures" and "desktop" but neither work. I did not have this problem with XP. Could it be a java prob or is there some security or other setting that is preventing the applets and gifs from working? Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanx.

Animated gifs must be opened in a "internet browser" to view the animation.

I am just learning Vista and computers. I don't know what your answer means exactly. All I know is when I had XP - whenever I received cool gifs or aplets in an email I could save it and then send it to anyone else in an email or document and it would work. With Vista I can save them, but when I atach them or insert them into an email, they do not work on my end or on the receiving end. Got any other suggestions as to what I can do to get em to work?
