Windows Mail Does Not Remember Contacts - Why?
My Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium does not remember previously used contacts for very long. Is there some trick to getting it to do this. Outlook Express never had this problem.

Nort sure what the problem is but, like OE, have you configured the options in send to automatically put the contacts in the folder?

Yes of course. I go back often to check if it is checked. The thing is that it does remember for a few days and then goes away. I cannot figure it out.

I think I am with you. You are talking about the autocomplete feature. With this feature on, WM will only remember the last 29 addresses - no idea why!
A better solution is Windows Live mail. It has all the features of Outlook express and WM, plus a little more.

I found it at MSFT. I am downloading it now. I think it takes a little getting used to. It's appearance is different from WM.

I think you'll get to love it! You can also use hotmail and other third oarty mail providers through the program.
