Angry setup.exe not working AT ALL, PLEASE HELP ME!
i posted a previous thread about trying to install a lexmark printer driver for my Gateway T-1616 laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium, explaining that setup.exe kept having a problem and wouldn't run. i thought it was just an issue with that driver, but i went to the start/orb menu and type in "setup.exe" and clicked on it, and it gave me the same error message saying, "setup.exe has stopped working." i don't know what to do, and i'm about to lose my mind! can someone please give me some answers...there has to be a way to fix this! I went to my event viewer and the most recent setup.exe error details are as follows:

Faulting application setup.exe_InstallShield, version 12.0.0.49974, time stamp 0x4474907b, faulting module setup.exe, version 12.0.0.49974, time stamp 0x4474907b, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0001e48b, process id 0x1ab0, application start time 0x01c862932954d7bd.

Thank you!

yes, it's in the lexmark website. i can't use the disk that goes with the printer because it is not valid for vista, but on the website they have drivers to install for vista users and the drivers are not installing because setup.exe keeps closing.
