Unable to upgrade Windows XP Pro to Vista Business
I have a Windows XP Pro installed with a software that has known issues installing with windows Vista but runs on windows Vista if it is installed on XP and then is upgraded. The problem I have is the Windows Vista Business DVD I have does not let me upgrade the option is greyed out and says it has been disabled.

The OS right now is Xp pro 32 bit running on a single 80 gig HDD formatted NTFS. Why can't I do an Upgrade with a 32 bit version of Vista business?

Is this "Vista business" a upgrade copy or "For new Computer" copy?

The PC is a Dell Optiplex 320 and the Vista DVD is distributed from Dell. Its not an OEM or a store bought version.

Call Dell as they are their products?
