Adding programs to the 'RUN' directory
Hi, im new here & i have a question

is it possible to add programs or shortcuts to programs to the run-thing
you know (start => run)

when i type there "msnmsgr", it automaticaly jumps to program files & finds the start msn file. but when i type "elma12", to boot ElastoMania (the start file is called 'elma12.exe') it opens internet & searches the web...

I already tried to add a shortcut to elma to my System32 folder but that didnt work out.

Is there some kind of list where I can add programs i want to boot?

i'd be happy if anyone helped me out.

thnx alot

surge

Why are you using the Run box? Just right-click on the program you want to start (from the Start Menu) and select "Pin to Start menu." The program will appear on the top of your menu when you click the Start button.

Incidentally, the reason it started IE is because your program isn't in the search path.

Wlel to alcrtluly asnew yuor qetsouin... Yes.

C:\windows <-- Place shortcuts to anything you wanna run here, don't overwrite anything!!

You can call the shortcuts anything you want.

In your case...

as the start file is called 'elma12.exe'

Create a shortcut for it and drop it you know were, quote:"C:\windows".

To save time rename the shortcut (e.g.) elm or elma

You can now type elm in run to start it.
