Can you provide a detaild summary of:

- What program/process you use to burn media
- The media type you using (CD/DVD/CD-R..)
- The format (avi,mpg...)
- The software used to burn the media
- Make and model of the CD/DVR ROM

Thank you

Great! I am using Vista Home Basic and Windows Media Player to Rip audio CDs to my hard drive as .wma.
The cd/dvd burner is a mat****a uj850s. After the rip is complete the disc automatically ejects and gives the error.

Just to make sure, you using WMP to burn CD's not DVD's , rigth?

Are you able to burn the same files using Windows XP build burner rather then WMP?
Have you tried to use different media/speed to rip the cd's?
How much disk space available do you have?
What Service Pack do you have installed on the OS?
Did you check for firmware updates for your CD burner?
What antivirus program are you running?

Possible cure
There's a real chance that your problem is being caused by CorelIOMonitor.exe. It came with PSPPXII (suspect that it was part of the patch). Remove it from your startup, kill the process, and give it a try. This has been causing Vista users fits.

Corel says that the PSPXII Organizer may not work without this, but indications are that it does cure the problem, and Organizer continues to work. As best as anyone's been able to figure out, about all the CorelIOMonitor.exe does is allow you to download flash images from compact media cards.

Your mileage may vary.

Just as a test, run msconfig and try unchecking this item under the startup group >>

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [00TCrdMain] %ProgramFiles%\TOSHIBA\FlashCards\TCrdMain.exe

Also if you happen to have a flash card handy -- put it in the card holder

WMP polls external drives and memory sources just about any time you use it -- and it could be generating a false error when it does.
