dual boot vista/xp - need to know how
okay, i have 1 300GB HDD on ide that has xp media center edition 2005 installed, and a 160GB SATA drive that has vista ultimate 32 bit installed. what i would like is to install a boot loader so that i can select which operating system i wish to use, and vista to be the automatic selection. i would prefer not to use the vista one. thanks

No need to dual boot. Just use Vista and run Windows XP in a VM through VirtualPC.

wont that use up my dwindling amount of ram? im using xp at the mo and have 590MB left. using vista i often have 500MB left, so i would have 90MB left? and i like to play my games (freelancer, HL2 etc), so i would rather use one or the other, rather running vista, to run xp.

ok, problem semi-solved, i just used the vista boot-loader and a piece of software called Easy-BCD. now the problem is, after using easy-bcd to set up xp to boot from the bootloader, vista boots fine, but when trying to boot xp, the computer itself goes through a hardware reset. xp will however, boot perfectly when i select its HDD from the BIOS boot menu.
included is a chart showing how everything is set up, along with some shots of easy-bcd showing how the boot-loader is configured.
any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance
