Help- sound card probelm
Hi,

I recently downloaded Vista Ultimate from Windows Xp Pro, ..IM having troubles,

I can't get the sound to work! It reads " no speaker/sound detected... Then i go to control panel and click hardware , and i see in my audio section " High def audio system.." ??

My sound card Brand Realtek, i tried downloading drivers,. dosen't work..

Also, i tried to re-install to xp i try boot it when install, it reads "acpi,sys corrupt, please help.

Join the crowd. 98% of sound cards sound like crap with VISTA. If I want to listen to music on my PC, then I have to boot up with Windows XP.

If I want to listen to music I turn on my stereo system, it gives me much better sound and does not tie up my computer.

Have you enabled the HD audio in BIOS? It's default is set to regular AC97

Ddi you download the motherboard drivers for XP? Are there any?
