I have old XP Printer drivers that have to be removed :(
Hi

I did a stupid thing. Installed a Brother MFC 665 cw on Vista and now I cannot remove the XP drivers because I can't find them! (The CD had XP drivers, not Vista.)

Can anyone tell me where I can find them? The printer is no longer listed in the printers folder but it is listed on the start menu and the add/remove programs. However, I get an error message about an "ISO" image. Brother tells me that message points to the fact that I have XP drivers on my computer that needs to be removed before I can install the Vista printer driver.

Thanks for your help.

Try going to the Printers window where you see all your printers. Without highlighting any printer, click File - Server Properties - Drivers and see if that printer driver you need to remove is on the list.

If the above doesn't work, try Device Manager. If the printer is listed there, right click and 'uninstall.'

If none of the above work, use System Restore. Another option is to remove all Brother folders from Windows Explorer - download and install RegCleaner - once installed, remove all refrences to Brother.
