It may have to do with the connections at home? I just tried it at work on our network here, and it seems to work fine.

i remoted to him and he remoted to me.????????

Was he at home? If so, then your side is suspect.

Could be poor wireless connection, as DaveA is asking about. Or your cable service itself.

Then the problem is likely caused by your home connection, or his home connection, or one or both wireless networks. Let the elimination process begin!

EDIT: or a problem on one of the PCs if you weren't using the same ones at work.
