Exclamation Screensaver doesn't work
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with Windows Vista. The screensaver has never worked. When I try to preview the screensaver, it blinks on for a second and then returns me to my desktop.

I have searched for an answer to this question, but it seems like most people's problems are from a wireless keyboard or mouse, and I've never used an external keyboard or mouse. Does anyone know of anything else that may be causing this problem?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm just trying to use the standard Windows screensavers; I've tried most of them, and they all give me the same results.

As you mentioned, for most the trouble is a mouse and keyboard issue. I'd try going to Dell Support, download and install the latest available drivers for video, chipset, mouse + keyboard. Install one at a time and check the screensavers after each install.
Almost forgot to mention, be sure to install essential MS update.

I found some info that microsoft is aware of the issue but has yet to come up with a fix. Please let us know if any of the above worked.
