Exclamation host process for windows services has stopped working
I am currently getting a host process for windows services has stopped working, it seems to come up when i reboot my computer and whenever i try to do anything on my computer that has to do with security. I hit the close button and then retry what i did and it doesnt seem to effect anything.
The computer is a HP pavilion 6000, i bought it in august at CompUSA, and they are going out of business and wont be of any help. I have tried everything from my knowledge and brought it to the Information Technology at my school.. They cant figure it out and im fed up. I brought it to best buy and talked to Geek Squad to see if they could diagnose it. The gentleman said that it is a processor error. He said that you need a system fix disk that only licensed people can have. He said that i have 4 processors and only 3 work cause one is corrupt. Bst Buy wants 200 dollars to fix it.
If anyone is having the same problem or knows a way to fix it..PLEASE reply back and help me out ....i am so fed up with computers and this whole ordeal that i am trying my hardest to figure it out. Thank you everyone!!

I highly doubt the problem stems from a hardware issue. Chances are there is a software program on your computer that doesn't get along with Vista! And yes, even if the only software on your machine was factory installed, it still could be Vista non-compatible. Many of you XP users will remember the hassles that Roxio ez-cd caused even though machines were pumped out with an XP incompatible version.

For a clue as to what the problem is, check the Event Viewer (Control Panel - Admin Tools - Event Viewer). Post your error codes here and we may be able to help. By the way, try updating your drivers and be sure you have the latest Microsoft essential updates.
