Are you seeing this error message in your System Event Log
Are you seeing this error message in your System Event Log:

"TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts."

If so, this might be the culprit. Vista seems to throttle the bandwidth down (either by design or error) when the maximum incoming connections exceeds 10.

Rebooting usually solves this.

Any replacement of tcpip.sys caqusing BLue screen of death in vista 64..reinstalled vista 3 times already with different patches. I like the separate sevrice of cracktcpip.sys but it is not working in vista 64 even with disable signature option in boot time with F8.

tried....crashed in vista 64... it does n't like tcpip.sys and also vista do not like even if i try to revert back...that is the problem.

i did reboot in safe mode and try to copy the original tcpip.sys and it it did n't like it. it crashed when you enter password on user login screen saying netio.sys ...some error.

i had to reinstall vista again

only option i have seen people doing is running a ms server edition of windows through a virtual machine.
there doesnt seem to be a fix as of yet for vista. but i read that vista ultimate has 25 connections compared to 10 in home and business
