Solved: Vista updates are so annoying...
Ok, so for the past few days, the updates tray icon has been bugging me to install updates. A few days ago when it first popped up, I chose to install the updates that I wanted. I don't want to install the nVidia because it has given me a problem in the past. And I also don't want the Office XP Service pack 3, because don't I need the CD or something for that? Anyway, I'd like for the it to disappear from the tray icon. How can I do that? I went to change settings, but there was no such option.

Right click on the update you don't wish to install and choose 'hide update'. this will stop it nagging. If at any time you change your mind about an update, you can choose 'restore hidden updates' from the menu on the left hand side in Windows Update.
