Vista Multiple-Display Environments
Hey all;
Our church recently received a desktop PC loaded with Vista, and also received a Projector for doing powerpoint presentations. PC has onboard video. My question is, to hook up the projector to the PC, do we need to purchase a video card, or is there some other way to hook this up? Whats the best way?
Thanks!

One thing I've seen people do is connect the projector to the existing video card. Then you see on the projected image, what you would normally see on your regular monitor.

You can give this a quick test without too much difficulty to see how it works. Basically you are substituting your regular monitor with the projector.

Thanks for your help Bob. But we want to be able to watch the monitor instead of the projected image.

If the requirement is to have two displays, then you will need two video cards.

Now one thing I haven't tried is having the same display on the two outputs at the same time. Not saying it isn't possible. Just that I haven't tried it.
