Vista Help
I'm getting annoyed with vista always asking me if i want to allow certain tasks. Is there a way to shut that stuff off so i don't have to confirm tasks that i obviously want to run because i clicked them.

Thank you
Speedy

Yes, but you will be turning off the built in protection. Also note, with this protection turned off, some programs can not be installed and some will not run with it turned off.

Can you give details for what programs won't run or install with UAC turned off? Is there a list somewhere we could check on?

No list that I know of, but, Adobe reader likes to have it on, so does Legacy and I have heard that Quicken and Quickbooks does.

That's good news. It looked like some programs actually wouldn't run with UAC turned off. So far I haven't seen any. Quickbooks works just fine.
