Question Iomega ZIP 100
My parallel port Iomega 100 Zip Drive won't work on Vista.
It reads it as IMG VP1.
Asks for the disk which I can't find.
Any ideas?
Thx,
ZZZ

Good heavens, a single 1gig flash drive will hold the equivalent of 10 zip100 disks, and cost a fraction of the cost of a single zip disk.

Cool flash
earld2,
You got that right (and much faster too.)
I've already begun and now I wonder why I didn't long before now.
Habit I guess...
Enjoy the Life,

Yeah, we are a long way from parallel ports and proprietary superfloppies.

Mine have been sitting in my basement for years. I should have put them on ebay years ago. I also have an old Syquest Sparq 1gb drive.

The Zip drives were faster when hooked up thru IDE internally. They were painfully slow over parrallell.

Talking for what it's worth
I have 5 100's. One 250. 3 Jazz.
Let's see now...what was my point?
Oh!
Another big change is:
When I bought my first computer it was a Cybermax w/ a 486 and 8 MB memory.
It cost me more than $2000.00.
Yeah, some things are better.
zzz

Oh; My USB Zip works fine on Vista.
Oh well, anyway, my wife is using it. (But not for long if she want's to communicate with me.
Peace,
zzz

I got an IDE Zip drive and whole bunch of disks you and your wife can use for a really good price!

Yes, I grew up two blocks from Lambeau field. I could see the Stadium lights from my Bedroom Windows.
