vista goes to sleep.... HELP
i am getting familiar with windows vista, and i am trying to solve the following:

1) when i leave the pc online, after a certain time it goes into a frozen mode, like it was switched off, so all the applications shut down. How can I turn off this frozen mode?

2) i have norton by default, and when installed firefox, there is now a norton toolbar on firefox, which i really want to remove but i cant, does anyone know how to do it?

thank you!

With respect to your first problem and thread title, please clarify. Does this only happen when online? When actively using the internet, when not actively using it, or both? What kind of internet service do you have? Do the applications shut down or do they "freeze"? Does Windows go to Sleep mode, Hibernation, shut down or just "freeze"?

Is your Norton toolbar a Firefox add-on? If so, Tools - Add-ons brings up a window that you can use to disable or uninstall add-ons.
