winmgmt command problem
Hello i have a problem with my security center it says that my virus security is not found
and windows defender is disabled.
so i went to the ms knowledge base and they say that i must go to cmd (command prompt)
and type: winmgmt /verifyrepository. but if i type that and hit enter it says:
winmgmt is not recognised as internal or external task program or batchfile. (Also ran as administrator)

Can you help me???

Thanks lordman

Welcome to TSG, lordman346. You must put a space between winmgmt / (winmgmt /verifyrepository)

Try this:
Right-click Command Prompt and Run as Administrator. Type the following command:
winmgmt /verifyrepository
If the system returns "WMI repository is not consistent", run this command:
winmgmt /salvagerepository
The first time you run this it will fail. (It will issue stop commands to the services causing it to fail. It might take a couple minutes for the services to shut down). Run the command again. You actually may have to run it 3 times before it finally runs and completes on its own.
Reboot your system.

Hi
I'm new to this forum so I apologise in advance if I get stuff wrong.

I have the same error message. Has anyone got a solution to this yet?

"Hello i have a problem with my security center it says that my virus security is not found

Would appreciate any help
Thanks
