Vista x64 annoyances redux
so I've found more things I don't like to deal with in vista this time on my laptop:

unsigned drivers for mobility radeon. Yeah, it supports vista 32bit, upgraded to 64bit instead, and DELL doesn't officially provide x64 drivers for it. solution? use mobility tweaker. problem? doesn't pass verification. have to press f8 every time I turn it on. What idiot decided this was a good idea again?

live file system for optical media. every cd/dvd I put in I get prompted to format it. solution? disable burning in the registry for the drive. Again, what idiot decided this was a good idea? And further, what idiot decided that disabling Vista's built-in recorder needed to be done via the registry?

Well, it appears to be a OEM (Dell) problem NOT a Vista problem.
