I have vista installed on my laptop and I'm connected to the internet, firefox connects no problem(thats how I browse the internet). I set up a static IP for a program that needs a

port forwarded(I setup the ip and port correctly and that program works). I'm not sure if thats when the problem started, but I'm guessing so. Internet Explorer starts fine, but

will not connect to any websites.

I noticed the problem when I was using a game that requires the internet to be played. I tried connecting with other games and I still can't connect, yet firefox still connects no

problem. I haver tried starting IE without the add-ons and its the lastest most updated version and so is Vista. Help plz. Thanks, Joshula

I had the same issue and it was my anti-virus software. Try Disabling it and see if that works.

I don't want help with a p2p, I want help with Internet Explorer. I paid for the games that I want to play, played with them online before but they aren't working now. One thing that isn't working is the EA game manager, it won't connect. And another game that needs to connect to the owners website to confirm ownership, it works on my XP laptop but not this one (vista laptop).
