Speech recognition on VISTA!
The built-in speech recognition on my HP VISTA Home Basic laptop works well though I am still "burning it in", teaching my machine to recognize my voice, inflections and speech patterns.

The thing writes faster than I can dictate (or maybe even think).
I like the fact you don't have to stop and look to check your document, just speak and watch your ideas and formatting happen in real time!
**Be sure to write down the tips and hints as you go otherwise, you will forget and or get confused.

Unlike the four "Speech recognition" programs I've bought and tried to use, VISTA works.
Your production speed is phenomenal, especially if you are a slow, hunt and peck writer.

The program uses WORDPAD for your drafts.
I then cut and paste my product into WORD 2007 (YMMV) for final editting, inserts, formatting and such.
Imagine a perfectly formatted and finished 300 word document in three or less minutes!
(if you leave the work in WORDPAD.)

Have a go VISTA users!
