Desktop and Start menu shortcuts / .lnk not working
Good day all.

This is a wonderful forum - great work guys keep it up.

I have a problem which suddenly reared its ugly head a few days ago with regards to desktop shortcuts and Start menu shortcuts (or .lnk) not running the associated application.

I have found the Regfix.reg fix for this but everytime I run the fix I get the error in the attached screenshot. I also ran a fix from Symantec called UnHookExec.inf to reset application .exe files to default - this fix can be found here: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...exe-files.html

How do I overcome this?

I am running Norton360 ver. 2 and the standard Vista security protection.

Any help is appreciated.
