windows upgrade problem
hya,

I just upgraded my windows from hom to business, but this was a mistake. I actually only wanted to have some extra office-product intalled, started it up, left, and when I came back, I couldn't use my windows anymore. I don't know how to reverse the installation, because I really don't want to have vista business, it's useless to me. is there a way in which I can make sure I get everything back to the way it was?
my 'old' windows is still on my hard drive under the file windows.old, but I can't seem to actually boot from there (or at least I don't know how).
I really need help with this because I can't really use my PC with this version of windows...

Vista Business isn't much different at all from Home premium and it would not have anything to do with not booting. Can you tell us exactly what you did and also exactly what you see now when you try to boot in deatil.

well, windows vista home was intalled on my computer and I installed windows business over it. now, none of my previously installed programs work while I would still like to work with them. also, the computer's hardware specs seem to have changed (or at least the windows index-grade)
I was wondering if there was any way in which I could easily reverse this business-version and return to my previous in which all my settings and programs are in the way I like them. otherwise I would be busy recustomizing my PC for another couple of days...
I hope that is some way (maybe using the data in the map windows.old) I could return to the previous settings of my pc.

Sounds like what happened is an overinstall not an Upgrade. I would copy whatever you can of your files from Windows Old and then do a clean install of whichever you want as the "upgrade" seems to have wiped out your other install.
