Oh, how I miss XP !
I've just bought this computer with Visata already installed, i've had all kinds of problems getting it up and running. I have a HP deskjet D4160 printer that won't print. It tells me that the software is installed and then when I try to print it says the document is in Queue. That's as far as I get. It just won't print the command.
Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to respond to me.

Have you gotten the Vista drivers from HP's support site? Go here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...501857&lang=en

MowerManEd, Thanks for responding. I went to the chat line and they walked me through the steps to refresh the printer spooler. That took care of the problem I was haveing. NOW I have another one. I did a dumb thing an hour ago. On the sartup page I was getting a SYSprp or something like that. I clicked the generalize box, not knowing what it would do and it reset my Vista to the " Run for the first time " window. Now everything is gone that I had been working on for two days. I would like to be able to re set windows similar to xp's reset. Can you or someone else tell me how to do this ?
Thanks

Maybe this will help?

http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true

Also if no one here can help, a search on Google brings up hundreds of "hits" with problems you are suffering, maybe the answer is in there somewhere?
