Microsoft Service Pack 3 on Windows Vista, please help I have read that Service Pack 3 is relatively untested, and to not install it at this time. Unfortunately, I hadn't told my son, and when I did, he said he downloaded the update already. However, he always puts his computer on "hibernate" and hasn't yet "restarted" his computer, so we're still getting the message to "restart" to "finish installing important updates."
Is there anything I can do at this point to remove the service pack components? Or do you have any reassurance or further information about this service pack to make me feel better?
Thank you very much. We have a Toshiba Satellite A135 with dual-processors (1.73 each) & 1.0 G ram. I still consider myself a beginner level user & please send me an answer in primitive layman, if possible!!
Thanks so very much.
