Msn Has Gone Crazy
Every time I try to install windows live, It seems as if it succeeds installing the Sign in assistant, but fails to install the messenger. I've tried re downloading the installation client, tried to restart computer, undid all the processes that might have effected it, and tried but failed to install it more than 10 times. Makes me mad. ._.

If anyone could help in any way, I'd love the advice. Please help!

Extra information : I'm on a 32-bit vista ultimate with 4GB RAM, Tons more GB left for storage 8800 Nvidia ultra, and lots of other high specs, so specs shouldn't matter.

No, its just when i'm almost done installing it gives me an error. First it gives this huge yellow triangle with an ! in it and tells me some random information. Then I click ok, then finish. And it gives me an error I think it was error 1106 (not sure) then it shows "Windows live messenger failed to install."

Installation is unsuccessful

You may be unable to install Windows Live products if your computer doesn't have enough free hard disk space, if your firewall (A security feature designed to help protect a computer from unauthorized external access. It can be hardware, software, or both.) won't allow the installation, or if your system doesn't meet the requirements for the product.

Try these solutions in the order listed:

*

Check that you have enough hard disk space to install the Windows Live product.

Show me how
1.

In Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run.

–or–

In Windows Vista, click Start, and then click in the Start Search text box.
2. Type explorer.exe, and then press ENTER.
3. In the left pane, click My Computer, right-click the drive that you want to use for the installation, and then click Properties.
4. Make sure that you have at least 100 MB of free space on the drive.
* If your computer has a firewall, make sure that the firewall is set to allow the Windows Live Betas - Home website. For more information about your firewall settings, see your firewall's documentation or website.
*

Clear your temporary files and folders.

Show me how
1.

In Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run.

–or–

In Windows Vista, click Start, and then click in the Start Search text box.
2. Type cleanmgr, and then press ENTER.
3. When Disk Cleanup scanning has finished, on the Disk Cleanup tab, select the following options:
o Downloaded Program Files
o Temporary Internet Files
o Temporary Files
o Temporary Offline Files
o Offline Files
4. Click OK, and then click Yes.
* Make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for installing Windows Live products. To see the system requirements for the Windows Live installer, see System requirements.
* Try the Windows Live installation again.

Notes

* If your computer has a 64-bit processor, you can't install Windows Live OneCare Family Safety.
* If you receive an installation error for a product, point to the error message to see the exact error code. A full list of error codes is available on the Windows Installer Error Messages website.
