Solved: Help, please?
Hello,
Recently I have messed up my computer pretty badly.
I tried dual booting another OS, now when I try to start windows, I get an error: Winload.exe could not open.
I have a recovery partition on this computer, but also fails to load with a black screen.
I have a CD with XP on it but it fails to load cause it can't find C:/

Is there anyway i can completely format my hard drive without loading an OS?
I really need help, so it would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Laptops have a special MBR and partitions that only the manufacturer uses. Normal tools won't work. You probably created a normal partition and MBR by installing the other OS. You will probably need to start from scratch.

If a Dell, there is a slim possibility:

Dell MBR (F11) Repair

They also use specialized partitions. Use your recovery CD's to reinstall.
