Sp1 ?
I have autoupdates turned on sinse I installed Vista 6 months ago, but I still don't see SP1 on my auto updater. If The Auto updater determines that it cannot install SP1 because issues or whatever will in tell you or does it just not update and keep you guessing?

Yes, it will tell you if your computer cant handle SP1. I just installed it about 3 hours ago myself, but auto updater didn't add it. I had to manually download it from Microsoft.

heres the link:

By the way, there are major improvements that have been made. I like it

Well, I tried Microsoft Update about an hour ago and downloaded an update and when it installed it said it was SP1 but when I check the history from Microsoft Update it says it is pending. I wonder how long it will be pending? Also, how do you know if it is installed. Will it show SP1 at the bottom right of the window like my old XP did?

The actual installation process take almost a full hour. To see if it installed go into your control panel and open up programs and click uninstall a program and from there click the view installed updates, it should be the first one listed (Update for microsoft windows KB936330). If your on DSL it should only take 11 minutes or so to actually download. go to the link I provided and not the auto update program listed in you start menu. It will download like any other file you download. Im not sure why its showing pending.

It took about thirty minutes for it to install on my PC from windows update.

To see if you have it go to control panel and click on system. If you have it, it will be at the top of the screen where it shows your OS.

Yea, that works, I also found out you can run windows explorer and look at the Help->about menu and it will say that it is installed also.
