On my computer running XP pro SP2 you access spell checking using the f7 key. Don't know if that will work for you. but does for me.

F7 will work on any email or word or Mail docs but it wont work in forum panels or general forum work.

If you have ieSpell, highlight any word, then right click on it, choose ieSpell options. Click on the tab that says 'others'. Put a check in the box that says "Remember Spell Checker Window's Placement"

found a solution to this problem in another forum. it was
avg 8.
uninstalled AVG 8 and installed AVG 7.5 again, all good now.

Only trouble with that, is I understand as of the 30th of this month AVG will not be supporting the 7.5.
