dual boot help
I have vista installed right now and need to setup a dual boot with XP.

I put in the XP CD, rebooted, but it shows no partitions I can install it to. im assuming this is because its a SATA drive that needs a driver maybe. I have C and D drives when in vista

tried installing XP from within vista but the install windows xp option is greyed out when I do so

im not sure how im going to do this since the laptop has no floppy drive for the SATA driver, if thats whats needed

Copy your floppies over to a named folder in Vista, or onto a CD.

Just read your last line again (more slowly!) A Sata Hd does not need a driver - only the raid. If you are needing those, you will often find them on the motherboard CD.
You will have to boot up with the XP installation CD
