Host Process Stopped Working
I have a fairly new notebook running Vista Business and connected to a home network wirelessly. The notebook is in the room adjacent to the router and signal strength is "excellent"; it is configured to automatically log on the network on bootup.

Here is the problem:

Whever the notebook is booted, I always get an error message at the end of the sequence saying "Host Process has Stopped Working". I click to close the box and everything seems to work OK except there is no wireless connection. A red cross on the taskbar. I have to manually open that icon, and get a message that Windows can't find any network . If I go though the diagnose and repair process it tells me that the wireless network is turned off, I turn it on and it connects.

Not sure why. I suspect my son has played around with some of the settings in startup programmes but can't be sure. I wouldn't know what is supposed to be enabled or not.

It seems like user error on my part, but if anyone can assist in rectifying this I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks
