Hi All.
I have seen several threads on this forum regarding unexpected crashes of Vista resulting in BSOD. My computer began expiriencing this issue about two weeks ago. Basically, I get the following error code @ BSOD
stop: 0x00000124 0x85870028 0xf2000010 0x00010c0f
My PC's specs are as follows:
Acer Aspire e380
Vista Ultimate SP1
AMD dual-core X2 4800
GeForce 7300LE 256 MB 64-bit Video
3 Gb DDR 2 PC 5300 RAM
On-board HD Audio-what am I missing here?....
I get the BSOD at random, there doesn't seem to be a pattern... If I try to re-boot Vista into normal mode right after the crash, my video seems to freeze on black screen right before the Vista welcome animation should come on. I have no problems booting into Safe mode with Networking (from which I am currently writing this post). After booting into safe mode, I can reboot into normal mode without getting a freeze at the welcome screen, but then the BSOD randomly takes place anyway and I am back to square one.
Please, if someone has managed to find a resolution to this issue, let me know. I feel pretty certain it is connected to the video card somehow, but I hope to resolve this through means other than buying a new video card-as I had no issues running XP on a separate partition on the same box. I also feel that this is a video card-Vista issue, not just a simple hardware fault. I hope to hear some great feedback. Thanks!
Alex.
