Exclamation carnt read discs
i have new comp desctop. vista service pack 1 ,no probs whatsoever . except .i wrote all my documents pics videoes etc to various discs using roxio. as data , from my old laptop. xp sp 2.i have done this a million times before on xp and my old windows me,, and all discs can be read on any computor. but my vista reads some and not others..it wont read most,just keeps spiting disk out and saying please insert disc.it seems to open some when it feels lick it..mostly the cheap discs.it does open some cds.. but doesnt like dvds r or rw. help.. iff any.. thanks.

Is the new one a DVD drive? It will probably have more to do with what drive you are using than it being vista. You might want to try another drive in that machine. It might also be because the disks were not finalized in Roxio.

Thumbs up Dvd Drive,
It Is A Dvd Drive, With Lightscribe,, Have Tried Finalising, No Difference, Have Found Some Old Cd"r"700 Mb. It Read Them Ok..but Doesnt Want To Know Dvd"s R Or Rw,,and Most Cd"r Or Rw...still Playing With It....thanks For Your Help..
