hello well i cant download anything because i get this message:C:\program files\windows defender\MpOav.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.... i also have no virus protection tried to put on a trial of norton and it evidently wont let me save it properly much less attempt to use it. i am desperate and also completely computer illiterate.

You need to restore back to when it was new I'm afraid. you are probably innundated with virus and spyware.
