How to bring back window from disconnected 2nd monitor

This is a two part question.

1. Some applications (eg: AutoSketch, Lotus Organizer) when last opened on a second display, will continue to open on this display even when it is disconnected. How do I move the application's window back to the primary one when this second display is not available?

2. I have an application which opens a properties window off of my screen somewhere. Even when a second display is connected, the properties window is off screen. How can I force that properties window back on to a visible area of my display?
