Cant get to safe mode
I was going to uninstall something in safe mode and it doesnt work. Like when i try to go to safe mode evrything loads fine and gets to the auroa screen and the aero cursor thing is going around and it says welcome..then the thing restarts...Im running Vista Ultimate 32bit...Thanks

My thinking was the force boot rather than F8 may have worked.

But it does boot properly in normal mode correct? Check the Event Viewer for a clue as to the problem.

Force boot doesnt work either....In event viewer all it says was the system shut down unexpectadly(or whoever u spell it)......

Is the 'puter a desktop or laptop? If a desktop are you using a usb keyboard?

desktop/ps2 keyboard..i can my system to boot to safe mode BUT when its booting and gets to aurora screen and it says welcome it reboots...also when i go to sleep mode then try to get out it reboots....like system is in sleep mode..i move my mouse then it reboots..i checked power settings and there fine...

Have you installed any programs recently? Do you run a 3rd party firewall?

not running a 3rd party firewall..i think zone alarm was installed recently but uninstalled it....i think i had the probllem before that anyway
